Chris G. Carter
Managing Partner

Mr. Carter joined NGP in 2004 and serves as Managing Partner. Mr. Carter chairs the Investment Committee, Investment Process Committee, and Monitoring Committee and is a member of NGP’s Executive Committee. Mr. Carter oversees NGP’s efforts in sourcing, structuring, executing and monitoring investments. Mr. Carter serves on the board of directors of numerous companies including Switchback II Corp. (NYSE: SWBK.U) and Switchback Energy Acquisition Corp. until the closing of its business combination with ChargePoint.
Previously, Mr. Carter was a summer Associate with McKinsey & Company. Mr. Carter was also an Analyst with Deutsche Bank’s Energy Investment Banking group, where he focused on financing and merger and acquisition transactions.
Mr. Carter received a B.B.A. and an M.P.A. in Accounting, summa cum laude, in 2002 from The University of Texas at Austin, where he was a member of the Business Honors Program. He received an M.B.A. in 2008 from Stanford University, where he graduated as an Arjay Miller Scholar.
Tony R. Weber
Managing Partner

Mr. Weber joined NGP in 2004 and serves as Managing Partner. Mr. Weber has deep industry relationships and experiences in the energy sector as well as over 36 years of transactional experience. He focuses his efforts in overseeing active investments and sourcing new opportunities.
Prior to NGP, Mr. Weber was the Chief Financial Officer for Merit Energy Company where he raised equity commitments from investors and oversaw all of Merit’s financial, accounting, and investment functions.
Before Merit, NGP enjoyed a strong relationship with Mr. Weber from his position as Senior Vice President and Head of Union Bank of California’s Energy Division in Dallas. During his 14 years as a commercial banker, he was involved in the financing of more than $14 billion in energy transactions, including senior debt facilities, mezzanine debt structures, project financing and direct equity investments.
Mr. Weber received a B.B.A. in Finance in 1984 from Texas A&M University, where he is a member of the Dean’s Council, a founding member of the Mays Business Fellows Program, and was recognized as an outstanding alumnus in 2013.
Craig S. Glick
Partner

Mr. Glick joined NGP in 2006 and serves as Partner of the NGP funds. He brings over 33 years of legal and financial experience to the firm’s structuring and execution activities. Mr. Glick plays an active role in the full range of NGP’s investment process and sits on the firm’s Executive Committee.
Previously, Mr. Glick served as Managing Director and General Counsel for NGP Midstream & Resources from 2006 to 2008. He was a founding partner of Kosmos Energy Holdings and served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary from 2003 to 2006. His previous tenures also include Hunt Resources and Hunt Oil Company (1999 to 2003), Gulf Canada Resources, Limited (1994 to 1999), and Torch Energy Advisors (1994). Mr. Glick was a Partner in the law firm of Vinson & Elkins from 1985 to 1994 and has been a director of six publicly-traded companies; HighPoint Resources, Vantage Energy, Northern Blizzard Resources, Inc., Parallel Energy Trust, Westside Energy, Inc. and Gulf Indonesia Resources.
Mr. Glick received a B.A. in Political Science, cum laude, in 1982 from Tulane University and earned a J.D. in 1985 from the University of Texas School of Law, where he was a member of the Texas Law Review.
Richard L. Covington
Partner

Mr. Covington joined NGP in 1997 and serves as Partner of the NGP funds. He is a leading transaction specialist in the energy industry who has over 30 years of experience in structuring, negotiating and executing transactions. Mr. Covington also has extensive experience in private equity fund formation and management issues and in portfolio monitoring. Mr. Covington currently serves on a variety of the firm’s investment and administrative committees and monitors portfolio company investments. His experience and tenure at NGP provide a unique resource for the firm and its portfolio companies.
Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Covington was a Senior Shareholder of the law firm of Thompson & Knight, where he practiced in the Corporate and Securities group in Dallas for nine years. He served as the primary outside legal counsel for NGP’s investments from 1989 through 1997.
Mr. Covington received a B.B.A., magna cum laude, in 1980 and a Juris Doctor in 1983 from Southern Methodist University, where he was an editor of the Southwestern Law Journal and was elected to the Phi Delta Phi scholastic honorary society.
Philip J. Deutch
Partner

Mr. Deutch is Fund Head and Partner of NGP and Chief Executive Officer of NGP ETP III, a portfolio company of NGP12 that invests in companies with products, services, or technologies in the areas of renewable energy, power, energy storage, environmental, energy efficiency, and transportation. Mr. Deutch founded Energy Technology Partners in 2005 and has been investing in the energy technology sector since 1997. Mr. Deutch managed NGP ETP I and NGP ETP II, two private equity funds affiliated with NGP.
From 2015 to 2018, Mr. Deutch was Partner, COO, and President of Social Capital, a $1.8 billion Silicon Valley-based investment firm, where he helped launch SC Public Equity Partners and Social Capital Hedosophia Holdings Corp. (NYSE:IPOA). From 1997 to 2004, Mr. Deutch was Managing Director at Perseus, L.L.C., where he led or co-led the firm’s energy investing activities and was a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. At Perseus, Mr. Deutch helped launch Perseus CDO I Limited, Perseus Acquisition-Recapitalization Fund, and Perseus-Soros Biopharmaceutical Fund, L.P. From 1986 to 1988, Mr. Deutch was a financial analyst in the Mergers & Acquisition Department of Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc.
Mr. Deutch is a board member of Form Energy Inc., Voltus Inc., Switchback II Corp. (NYSE:SWBK.U), Community Energy Inc. and TPI Composites Inc. (NASDAQ:TPIC) and is a former board member of, among other companies, American Wind Capital, Beacon Power, Evergreen Solar, Renewable Energy Group (NASDAQ:REGI), and SatCon Technologies. Mr. Deutch is a member of the External Advisory Board of the MIT Future of Storage Study, the Board of Governors of the Folger Shakespeare Library and the Board of Trustees of the Menlo School. He previously served on the MIT Future of Solar Study and on the Boards of the International Center for Women, the Washington Performing Arts Society and Capital for Children.
Mr. Deutch holds a J.D. with distinction from Stanford Law School and a B.A. in Economics from Amherst College, where he was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Robert A. Edwards
Partner

Mr. Edwards joined NGP in 2009 and serves as Partner of the NGP funds. He is a leading specialist in the natural resources industry with over 30 years of experience. Mr. Edwards concentrates on NGP’s transaction sourcing and execution as well as the monitoring of active portfolio companies. In addition, Mr. Edwards oversees the firm’s Environmental, Social & Governance efforts as well as leads the firm’s international efforts in capital raising and investor relations activities.
Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Edwards served as Vice President and Head of Strategy for the Gas, Power and Renewables segment at BP p.l.c., where he was responsible for formulating BP’s global gas strategy and business development activities in the areas of climate and alternative energy. From 1994 to 2005, he was a Partner and a leader of the Energy Practice at McKinsey & Company, in both Singapore and Houston. Prior to that, Mr. Edwards was an executive with Marathon Oil Company and Brown & Root International focusing on offshore construction and production operations.
Mr. Edwards received a BSME in 1978 from Tulane University, and earned dual Petroleum Engineering and Management degrees in 1993 and 1994 from Stanford University.
Scott A. Gieselman
Partner

Mr. Gieselman joined NGP in 2007 and serves as Partner of the NGP funds. He applies his over 30 years of capital markets and transactional experience in the energy sector to NGP’s efforts in sourcing, structuring and executing investments, monitoring existing investments and capital markets transactions.
Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Gieselman had a successful 20-year career with Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he became a Partner in 2002. During his tenure, Mr. Gieselman served in a number of senior management positions in the firm’s Natural Resources Investment Banking division where he ran the West Coast and Southwest energy efforts.
Mr. Gieselman received a B.S. in 1985 and an M.B.A. in 1988 from Boston College.
David W. Hayes
Partner

Mr. Hayes joined NGP in 1998 and serves as a Partner of the NGP funds. He concentrates on NGP’s transaction sourcing and execution as well as the monitoring of active portfolio companies. In addition, Mr. Hayes specializes in transaction support for NGP’s family of portfolio companies, assisting them in accessing the capital markets when external financing is required.
Previously, Mr. Hayes was an Associate with Charlesbank Capital Partners, LLC in the fall of 2000, where he focused on evaluating private equity investment opportunities in the energy and temporary staffing industries, and analyzing trends in the leveraged buyout sector. From 1996 to 1998, he was an Analyst with Merrill Lynch’s Energy Investment Banking group in Houston, focusing on merger and acquisition transactions in the exploration and production and pipeline industries.
Mr. Hayes received a B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, in 1996 from Rice University, where he was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa scholastic honor society, and an M.B.A. in 2002 from Harvard Business School.
Patrick M. McWilliams
Partner

Mr. McWilliams joined NGP in 2015 and serves as Partner of the NGP funds. He concentrates on NGP’s transaction sourcing and execution as well as the monitoring of active portfolio companies.
Previously, Mr. McWilliams was a Managing Director with JPMorgan Chase which he joined in 2012 to launch and build the Middle Market Oil and Gas Finance platform. In addition to covering private oil and gas companies, Mr. McWilliams and his team led the coverage of energy-focused private equity sponsors. He has worked with several NGP portfolio companies, including Hibernia and Bravo. Mr. McWilliams has an extensive background in the energy sector, having spent 16 years primarily focused on energy finance for upstream oil and gas companies.
Mr. McWilliams received a B.S. in Finance from Louisiana State University in. 2000.
Brian R. Patterson
Partner, Investor Relations

Mr. Patterson joined NGP in 2016 and serves as Partner of the NGP funds. Mr. Patterson is responsible for Investor Relations and focuses on the firm’s capital raising and investor relations activities. He brings nearly 20 years of financial and legal experience to the firm’s investment activities and sits on the firm’s Investment Committee, Monitoring Committee and Investment Process Committee.
Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Patterson was an Investment Manager with the University of Notre Dame Investment Office where he oversaw Notre Dame’s global energy efforts, including sourcing, underwriting, and investing in the upstream, services, midstream and power sectors.
Before joining the University of Notre Dame, Mr. Patterson was an Attorney with Goodwin Procter LLP in Boston, MA and Verrill Dana LLP, where he specialized in private equity, complex merger and acquisitions transactions and joint-venture transactions.
In 2014, Mr. Patterson was recognized by Oil and Gas Investor Magazine as one of the Top 20 Under 40 in Energy Finance. Mr. Patterson graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in May 1999. He received a Juris Doctor in 2003 from Boston College Law School and is a CFA Charter Holder.
Sam F. Stoutner
Partner

Mr. Stoutner joined NGP in 2011 and serves as a Partner. Mr. Stoutner concentrates on NGP ETP’s efforts in sourcing investments, transaction analysis, and execution as well as the monitoring of active portfolios. He has over a decade of experience sourcing, executing, and monitoring investments and serves on the board of directors of numerous companies including Switchback II Corp. (NYSE:SWBK.U) and Switchback Energy Acquisition Corp. until the closing of its business combination with ChargePoint, and is an observer on the board of directors of Form Energy, Inc.
Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Stoutner was an investment banking Analyst with Madison Williams and Company’s Energy Investment Banking Group in Houston, where he focused on financing and merger and acquisition transactions in the oil and gas industry.
Mr. Stoutner received a B.B.A. and M.P.A. in Accounting, summa cum laude, in 2010 from The University of Texas at Austin. He received an M.B.A. in 2016 from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
James W. Wallis
Partner

Mr. Wallis joined NGP in 2017 and serves as a Partner in the Houston office, where he concentrates on NGP ETP’s transaction sourcing and execution as well as the monitoring of active portfolio companies.
Previously, Mr. Wallis was a Managing Director with Lime Rock Partners, which he joined in 2007. Prior to joining Lime Rock, Mr. Wallis worked in the energy investing banking groups of Merrill Lynch and Petrie Parkman & Co.
Mr. Wallis received a B.B.A. in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin, where he was a member of the Business Honors Program.
Jeffrey A. Zlotky
Partner, General Counsel

Mr. Zlotky joined NGP in 2015 and serves as Partner and General Counsel of the NGP funds. He applies his broad experience in the energy and private equity industries to the structuring and execution of transactions on behalf of both NGP and its portfolio companies.
Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Zlotky spent his entire professional career with the global law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP, where he was a partner in their Corporate and Securities practice group, with an emphasis on energy finance and private equity. During his tenure, Mr. Zlotky served in a variety of increasing management positions, including as its global Managing Partner from 2009 to 2012 and as a member of the board of directors of the Thompson & Knight Foundation. Mr. Zlotky has extensive experience in the structuring and organization of private equity funds on behalf of sponsors and investors, the investment activities of private equity funds, and mergers and acquisitions. In his tenure with Thompson & Knight, Mr. Zlotky was an advisor to NGP and worked on a variety of significant matters, including the formation of several NGP investment funds, significant investment transactions, and other key transactions involving NGP portfolio companies such as Energy Transfer Company and TEAK Midstream.
Mr. Zlotky attended Princeton University, from which he graduated magna cum laude, and The University of Texas School of Law, from which he graduated with honors and served as an Associate Editor of the Texas Law Review.
Jill W. Lampert
Chief Financial & Administrative Officer

Ms. Lampert joined NGP in 2007 and serves as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer of NGP. Since taking her current position, NGP has significantly grown its capital commitments. To support this growth, Ms. Lampert has built out the infrastructure to support the increased number of investors and entities and associated complexities as well as the demands for enhanced reporting from both investors and regulators. In her role, Ms. Lampert oversees financial reporting, tax, accounting and other administrative functions such as technology, marketing, human resources, and support operations. She is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and Investment Committee.
Ms. Lampert served as Chief Financial Officer and Founding Member of NGP Midstream and Resources from 2007 to 2010, where she was responsible for managing the complexities presented by global investments, including legal documentation, tax planning, investor communication, financial reporting and accounting oversight. Prior to NGP, Ms. Lampert held other financial, accounting and operational roles after beginning her career at Arthur Andersen.
Ms. Lampert is a Certified Public Accountant and earned her B.B.A. in Accounting in 1988 from The University of Texas at Austin.
Matt Gallagher
Operating Partner

Mr. Gallagher joined NGP in 2021 and serves as an Operating Partner of the NGP funds. Mr. Gallagher is a member on NGP’s ESG Committee, Investment Process Committee and Monitoring Committee and serves in a consulting role to NGP and its portfolio companies. Mr. Gallagher brings 15 years of leadership, operations and engineering experience and a passion for performance and ESG improvement.
Mr. Gallagher serves on the board of Pioneer Natural Resources Company. Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Gallagher was the President and CEO of Parsley Energy. Mr. Gallagher joined Parsley in 2010 to build the Engineering Department. He was named Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2014 and in January, 2017, was promoted to President/COO and CEO in 2019.
Mr. Gallagher received a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
D. Greg Lyons
Principal

Mr. Lyons joined NGP in 2014 and serves as Principal. Mr. Lyons concentrates on NGP ETP’s efforts in sourcing investments, transaction analysis, and execution as well as the monitoring of active portfolios. Mr. Lyons is a board observer of Voltus, Inc., an active portfolio company of NGP ETP III.
Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Lyons was an investment banking Analyst with Citi’s Global Energy Group in Houston, where he focused on financing and merger and acquisition transactions in the energy industry.
Mr. Lyons received a B.A. in Political Science in 2012 from Yale University.
Peter T. Ray
Principal

Mr. Ray joined NGP in 2014 and serves as Principal. He concentrates on NGP’s efforts in sourcing investments, transaction analysis, and execution as well as the monitoring of active portfolios companies.
Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Ray was an investment banking Analyst with Deutsche Bank’s Natural Resources Group in Houston, where he focused on financing and merger and acquisition transactions in the oil and gas industry.
Mr. Ray received a B.B.A. in Finance in 2011 from The University of Texas at Austin.
Brian R. Seline
Principal

Mr. Seline joined NGP in 2013 and serves as Principal. He concentrates on NGP’s efforts in sourcing investments, transaction analysis, and execution as well as the monitoring of active portfolios.
Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Seline was an investment banking Analyst with Barclays’ Natural Resources Group in Houston, where he focused on financing and merger and acquisition transactions in the oil and gas industry.
Mr. Seline received a B.B.A. in Finance and a B.A. in Economics in 2011 from The University of Texas at Austin.
Kevin Sirchia
Vice President, Investor Relations

Mr. Sirchia joined NGP in 2014 and serves as a Vice President, Investor Relations. He focuses on the firm’s capital raising and investor relations activities and is a member of the firm’s co-investment team. Prior to joining the investor relations team, he assisted in the preparation and analysis of NGP’s valuation deliverables and financial reporting.
Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Sirchia was a Senior Associate in the Energy & Mining Valuation Advisory practice of Duff & Phelps, a diversified financial advisory firm. While at Duff & Phelps, he assisted Fortune 500, private equity and government clients with the preparation of energy-related company and asset valuations for financial and tax reporting, portfolio valuation, transaction opinions and dispute resolution.
Mr. Sirchia received a B.B.A. in Finance, magna cum laude, in 2012 from Texas A&M University.
Christina C. Sanders
Assistant General Counsel

Ms. Sanders joined NGP in 2018 and serves as Assistant General Counsel of NGP and General Counsel of the Fund. She applies her broad experience in the energy and private equity industries to the structuring and execution of transactions on behalf of both NGP and its portfolio companies.
Prior to joining NGP, Ms. Sanders was an Associate with the law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP for over five years. As a member of the firm’s Corporate and Securities practice group, she focused her practice on energy private equity work, including investments in portfolio companies, energy transactional work and private equity fund formations.
Ms. Sanders received a B.A. in Political Science in 2008 from the University of Southern California and a J.D., summa cum laude, in 2012 from Texas Tech University School of Law.
Tanner T. Leland
Senior Associate

Mr. Leland joined NGP in 2016 and serves as a Senior Associate. He concentrates on NGP’s efforts in sourcing investments, transaction analysis, and execution as well as the monitoring of active portfolios.
Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Leland was an Investment Banking Analyst with Barclays’ Natural Resources Group in Houston, where he focused on financing and merger and acquisition transactions energy industry.
Mr. Leland received a B.A. in Mathematical Economic Analysis with a minor in Business from Rice University in 2013.
Matthew N. Tramonte
Senior Associate

Mr. Tramonte joined NGP in 2017 and serves as an Associate. He concentrates on NGP’s efforts in sourcing investments, transaction analysis, and execution as well as monitoring of active portfolios.
Prior to NGP, Mr. Tramonte was a Management Consultant with Bain & Co., focusing on strategy development and performance improvement in the oil and gas industry.
Mr. Tramonte received a B.B.A., summa cum laude, in Business Honors and Finance in 2013 from Texas A&M University.
Andrew Z. Das
Associate

Mr. Das joined NGP in 2018 and serves as an Associate. He concentrates on NGP’s efforts in sourcing investments, transaction analysis, and execution as well as the monitoring of active portfolios.
Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Das was an Investment Banking Analyst with Barclays’ Natural Resources Group in Houston, where he focused on financing and merger and acquisition transactions in the oil and gas industry.
Mr. Das received B.A.’s in Applied Mathematics & Statistics and Economics from Johns Hopkins University in 2015.
Audrey F. Constant
Associate

Ms. Constant joined NGP in 2018 and serves as an Associate. She concentrates on NGP’s efforts in sourcing investments, transaction analysis, and execution as well as the monitoring of active portfolios.
Prior to joining NGP, Ms. Constant was an Investment Banking Analyst at Morgan Stanley, focusing on financing and merger and acquisition transactions in the oil and gas industry.
Ms. Constant received a B.B.A. in Business Honors and Finance in 2016 from the University of Texas at Austin.
Hayden F. Fronterhouse
Associate

Mr. Fronterhouse joined NGP in 2018 and serves as an Associate. He concentrates on NGP’s efforts in sourcing investments, transaction analysis, and execution as well as monitoring of active portfolios.
Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Fronterhouse was a Senior Analyst in the Finance and Strategy Group at Concho Resources in Midland, focusing on strategic planning, operations analysis, capital markets and mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Fronterhouse received a B.B.A. in Finance in 2015 from the University of Texas at Austin.
Chester A. Wang
Associate
Mr. Wang joined NGP in 2020 and serves as an Associate. He concentrates on NGP’s efforts in sourcing investments, transaction analysis, and execution as well as monitoring of active portfolios.
Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Wang was an Energy M&A Analyst with Evercore Partners in Houston, focusing on financing and mergers and acquisitions transactions in the oil and gas industry.
Mr. Wang received a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering in 2018 from The University of Tulsa.
Shyam J. Gandhi
Associate
Mr. Gandhi joined NGP in 2020 and serves as an Associate. He concentrates on NGP’s efforts in sourcing investments, transaction analysis, and execution as well as monitoring of active portfolios.
Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Gandhi was an Investment Banking Analyst with Goldman, Sachs and Co. in Houston, focusing on financing and mergers and acquisitions transactions in the oil and gas industry.
Mr. Gandhi received a B.B.A. with Business Honors in Finance in 2018 from The University of Texas at Austin.
Pierce A. Durham
Associate
Mr. Durham joined NGP in 2020 and serves as an Associate. He concentrates on NGP’s efforts in sourcing investments, transaction analysis, and execution as well as monitoring of active portfolios.
Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Durham was an Investment Banking Analyst, Natural Resources with Barclays Investment Bank in Houston, focusing on financing and mergers and acquisitions in the oil and gas industry.
Mr. Durham received a B.B.A. in Finance in 2018 from The University of Texas at Austin.
